Description

The role of a hospice medical director traditionally focused on clinical care and discipline specific tasks as part of the IDG. However the role is changing, with increasing responsibilities in areas such as regulatory compliance and quality improvement. This session will focus on the changing nature of the responsibilities of a hospice medical director. Particular emphasis on the changing nature of quality measures in hospice, the relationship between quality and value based payment methods, and the importance of the hospice medical director in quality improvement.
