Tonya Gray, MSHA, CPA, is Director of Home Health and Home Care Services at UW Health Northern Illinois with 10+ years of financial and operational leadership in the home healthcare industry, including hospital-based home health, private duty, and home infusion services.
Tonya is currently a doctoral candidate in Health Administration at Walden University, where her dissertation is on home health agency ownership and 30-day Medicare readmissions. She is an esteemed member of NAHC’s Board of Directors, and a long-term active Illinois Home Care & Hospice Council member. She regularly speaks in her local faith-based church, which provides her the foundation to lead with integrity in the community and the healthcare industry.
Tonya considers herself a savvy business executive with a servant leader’s heart. Her commitment to quality allows her to bring service excellence to the forefront. Reducing costs while maintaining quality care are core competencies. She advocates for home health care, understanding that it is essential to the healthcare continuum. Some accomplishments include Magnet Certification, Joint Commission Deemed Status, Performance Excellence Award, and Home Health Clinical Team Daisy Award.
