Dr. Aung is the Vice President, Executive Medical Director for Amedisys Hospice South region. In this role, Dr Aung supports the South hospice region leaders in physician recruitment, onboarding and development of our physicians as well as providing education to all our clinicians at the care centers. She completed fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr, Aung is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine and holds the Hospice Medical Director Certification.
She has 20 years’ experience in caring for seriously ill patients and is a published researcher and actively involved in hospice education, quality, and regulatory process at the local, state, and national levels.
