The National Minority Supplier Development Council Conference and Business Opportunity Exchange is proud to support a culture of environmental responsibility by continuing to support Green Initiatives throughout the length of the Conference.

The McCormick Place Lakeside Center exemplifies its commitment to environmental stewardship and is nationally recognized for its green initiatives, social responsibility and long-term environmental impact on the community.

As you prepare to exhibit at this year’s NMSDC Business Opportunity Exchange, please keep in mind that the following items are recyclable.  Recycling compactors are easily accessed and clearly marked in McCormick Place Lakeside Center.

  • Cardboard (a strict cardboard recycling policy is in effect for all decorators/contractors)
  • Polyurethane foam (carpet padding)
  • Wooden pallets
  • Scrap metal
  • Paper
  • Glass - such as juice, water or soft drink bottles
  • Plastic - such as water and soft drink bottles
  • Aluminum

A Reclaim Room will be made available for unused or unwanted conference materials that can be reused.  Common items for the Reclaim Room include: vinyl banners, water bottles, unbroken foam core, conference bags, conference giveaways, and set up props. Also, Conference attendees will be encouraged to take full advantage of all identified recycle containers throughout McCormick Place Lakeside Center while attending the NMSDC Conference.

Thank you for assisting NMSDC in helping to protect our environment!
