Carol Booth was brought into the National Rural Water Association in late 2017 for special projects such as partnerships, grants and long-term strategies. She soon became the Director of Communications and now oversees all marketing and PR activities for NRWA.
Before NRWA, she was the Communications Director for the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission where her responsibilities included communications with governors’ offices, state regulatory programs and congressional liaison. Booth started her career in communications 15 years ago at the Oklahoma Department of Labor as the Assistant to the Labor Commissioner. Then she worked at the Kansas City Star as the Assistant Publisher for their magazines and Marketing Manager for the media company.
Booth has a Bachelor’s in Journalism with minors in history and broadcasting and a Master’s in Education. She resides in Blanchard, Oklahoma with her four daughters.
