Vector-borne diseases. Vector-borne diseases are diseases caused by pathogens transmitted by insects or related animals like ticks. This display will provide information about the most common vector-borne diseases in Pennsylvania including Lyme disease and anaplasmosis. Information on recognizing vectors and ways to protect yourself, your family, your pets, and your livestock from vector bites and vector-borne diseases will be provided.
