Animal Science, Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences and the Animal Systems Extension Team are a collaborative group of animal and veterinary experts that focus on providing top tier education through resident courses at University Park, online courses through World Campus, and through Extension programming offered in-person and online. This education is based on basic and applied research that serves agricultural production and one-health missions that sustain animal production and creates a foundation agricultural and one health career paths.

Pig enthusiasts and pig farmers both play a critical part in protecting the state and national swine herd from diseases that are dangerous to pigs.
