Description
The need for academic research in forensic science to be aligned with the needs of industry has never been greater. Many opportunities exist for academic-industrial partnerships in forensic science, yet some are underutilized. The National Science Foundation's Industry University Cooperative Research Centers (IUCRCs) offer a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful collaborative research. Industry-driven forensic research at Sam Houston State University will be presented, and strategies for increasing the impact of those efforts will be discussed.
