Description
Isao Noda from the University of Delaware is the 2021 Pittsburgh Spectroscopy Award winner.
Born in Japan, Isao Noda received his Ph.D. from Columbia University and D.Sc. from the University of Tokyo. After retiring from P&G, he has held positions at University of Delaware and a biotechnology company Danimer Scientific. His research interest is in the broad area of polymer science and vibrational spectroscopy.
The Pittsburgh Spectroscopy Award is given annually to a researcher who has demonstrated outstanding achievements in spectroscopy. Professor Noda has contributed in the applications in the field of spectroscopy, his leadership in the scientific community, and his mentorship of young scientists.
