Description

Ionic liquid-based stationary phases have had a profound effect on GC, given their high polarity and thermal stability. Several new ionic liquids have been synthesized and stability tested. The mechanism of the thermal decomposition has been studied and will be discussed. New stationary phase selectivities will be considered as well.
