Our component testing capabilities include partial and full scale, static and dynamic load testing up to 1,000,000 lbs. CTLGroup routinely performs testing on a wide variety of track component ties, fasteners systems, rail welds and joints.

Our diverse load fixtures allow for testing of a broad array of coupler and truck components including entire truck frames. The laboratory provides extensive data acquisition capabilities for temperature, displacement and stress/strain measurement. Our test procedures comply with North American and global standards, including those established by American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA), American Public Transportation Association (APTA), Amtrak, and Association of American Railroads (AAR). These tests are conducted to satisfy railroad and rapid transit authority qualification/quality control/safety standards required by manufacturing and construction project specifications.
