Since 1980 ASC has been aiding the rail industry with scientific and engineering analysis focusing on railroad aerodynamics, blow-over, and HVAC/exhaust studies. Combining CFD computer modeling, laboratory modeling, wind tunnel testing, and field testing, over 100 train aerodynamic studies have been completed to reduce drag, mitigate cross wind impacts, minimize exhaust entrainment, and reduce tractive resistance.
