Comprehensively, Native American Programs at 2017 SACNAS focus on community building, networking, academic and professional development, a celebration of culture, and creating a safe and honored space for those most underrepresented in STEM.

Travel Scholarship Program
Target Audience: Students and postdocs
Travel scholarships cover lodging, travel, and registration for up to 700 competitively selected students, and postdoc attendees of 2017 SACNAS. Overall sponsorship of the Travel Scholarship Program supports academic and workforce development mentoring that is fully integrated into all aspects of the program from pre-conference digital resources to onsite sessions that help attendees make the most of the conference experience and build on their next steps for a successful STEM career. Funding for the scholarships is provided through federal grant partners and individual sponsorships (see page__ for details).
