Tara, Ontario – March 30, 2022: Calhoun Super Structure is proud to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. Founded in 1992, the family-owned, Canadian business has since developed into a leading, full-service manufacturing company, specializing in fabric building engineering and production across North America.
To commemorate this milestone, Calhoun will implement various activities and efforts throughout the year. Notably, the business will host a 30:30 Cancer Fundraiser, aiming to raise $30,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society via an online auction. This effort honors Eloise Calhoun, a key contributor to the company’s founding, who passed away in March 2004 due to breast cancer.
Through financial and in-kind donations from its dealers, business partners and others, Calhoun will host an online fundraiser throughout 2022, until the $30,000 goal is met. Supporters can bid on vacation packages, win raffle prizes, purchase sports/event tickets – such as two platinum tickets to a Toronto Maple Leafs’ game – or provide a general donation. All proceeds will go toward breast cancer research, to pay tribute to Eloise’s legacy and Calhoun’s 30 instrumental years of business.
Calhoun’s engineering experience covers a broad range of industries, including agricultural structures, commercial warehousing, sand and salt sheds, mining sites, fertilizer storage and others. The company that started by selling 30-by-70-foot fabric structures for agricultural storage has now installed over 9,000 diverse projects, with over 36 dealers in North America.
Jeremy Calhoun, chief executive officer and owner, began his career by working on the foundation crew for his father’s business – Calhoun Agri Services Ltd. – in Chesley, Ontario. From the foundation crew, Calhoun later climbed the company ladder to building crew, then sales and project management to company management. In 2000, Jeremy along with his brother and co-owner, Sean, officially relaunched the company as Calhoun Super Structure – offering 32-, 42-, 52- and 62-foot-wide agricultural storage structures. The business is now headquartered in Tara, Ontario, with a newly expanded production facility in Goderich.

Along with its dealer network, the business continues to grow. Earlier this month, Calhoun Super Structure completed its 10,000-square-foot production plant expansion, which allows the company to fully manufacture steel frameworks and stay ahead of rising demands. Calhoun invested approximately $1 million in the expansion.
