Description
Legacy systems. Budget constraints. Cultural resistance. These are just a few of the barriers standing between public works agencies and the modern, data-driven future they need. In this interactive Solution Hub session, participants will explore the concept of technology debt—what it is, how it grows, and why it poses serious risks to efficiency, resilience, and service delivery.
Facilitator Adam Carnow will kick off the session with a short presentation on the consequences of outdated systems and the urgency of tech modernization in public infrastructure. Then, working in small, facilitated groups, participants will identify real-world solutions to the barriers that upgrading systems, transitioning to new technologies, and building future-ready operations typically encounter.
Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the challenges they face—and actionable strategies to overcome them. Come ready to share, reflect, and solve. Modernization isn’t just a goal—it’s a necessity.
