The WIAA is a voluntary, unincorporated and nonprofit organization which consists of a diversified membership of public and nonpublic high school and middle schools.
In sum, the purpose of the organization is to organize an interscholastic athletic program which promotes the ideals of its membership, to emphasize interscholastic athletics as a partner with other school activities in the total education, process and to promote uniformity in the standards of athletic competition for fair and equal play.
