With the bags rolled up and in their dispenser, it is not easy to get an accurate count of how many bags are remaining. It does not help if you have a dog like mine, who sometimes poops multiple times during her walk.

Being caught without a bag is an awful feeling. I once saw someone pick up his golden retriever's poop with a napkin he had in his back pocket. By the time I realized what was happening, it was too late to offer one of my bags.
