At Trio, we aim to help animals, humans and the environment at the same time via our eco-friendly dog products made out of ghost net rescued from the oceans.
Ghost nets trap and kill marine animals in the thousands and is made of non-biodegradable material. It is an environmental hazard. We tried to find away to turn waste into value.
We incentivise fishermen in Pakistan to extract the nets and clean them, then we teach out crafting methods to women from underprivileged areas to become artisans and create our products.
Many of these women were once child brides, some married off at the age of 10 or 12, who are now the sole breadwinners of their families.
As we try to uplift their way of life and the fishing villages, and clean the oceans, 50 percent of the proceeds go back to help the largest animal rescue in Pakistan which is the only one in the country rescuing and rehabilitating injured and abused street, labour and wild animals on such a large scale.
This rescue organisation is Trio’s sister enterprise.
Our goal is to preserve and protect our ecosystem and find better means of living a good life.
