NMCOG is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization. Incorportated in 1978, NMCOG has been fighting to protect the rights of outfitters, guides, and non-resident hunters and anglers, in the state of New Mexico, for nearly 40 years. NMCOG was also one of the founding associations to establish the Professional Outfitters and Guides of America (POGA) group which advocates the professional hunting/fishing industries on a national level. NMCOG and other, similar organizations are working hard to stop anti-hunting and extreme animal rights groups. NMCOG also works to protect the rights of the professional hunting/fishing industry against other sportsman organizations whose self-serving actions are an effort to eliminate non-resident hunting/fishing opportunity.
