We want future generations to experience wild sheep in CA.

Formed in 2001, CAWSF's goal is KEEPING SHEEP ON THE MOUNTAINS through conservation, education, and promotion of professional management.

Visit us to learn about the Give a Lamb a Drink program! Join the chapter and you'll develop new friends and hunting partners as well as help the iconic California bighorn sheep. Register for the annual fundraiser while you are here (April 30, 2022 in Sacramento). Buy tickets to win a 2023 Stone Sheep Hunt with Golden Bear Outfitting (see them at Booth 610).

The Chapter's goal is to ensure generations to come are able to experience the phenomenal beauty of wild sheep, especially in California. We seek to accomplish this through conservation, education, and the promotion of professional management of wild sheep in order to augment the number and size of game herds. We are focused on putting more sheep on the mountains through habitat improvement, especially development of water sources applicable to our wild sheep habitats.
