Welcome to LMU - School of Medical Sciences - DMS program!
Our Doctor of Medical Science (DMS) degree is taught by experts in their field using innovative technologies. The curriculum provides additional formal medical training giving experienced physician assistants a competitive edge in the health care setting, as well as affording leadership opportunities reserved for professionals with doctoral degrees. Except for a week-long on-campus residency ⇱ focusing on hands-on ultrasound and advanced imaging training ⇱ the curriculum is completely online.

Students chose a cognate in medical education or clinical medicine:
- The Clinical Medicine ⇱ cognates will examine advanced clinical concepts that will expand the PA’s scope of practice and confidence in the care of higher acuity patients.
- The Medical Education ⇱ cognate focuses on implementing theories of teaching, learning, teams, and organizations.
