  • CURAZINE amino and amino-triazine resins
Bitrez Ltd. offers an extensive range of specialist resin types including amino and amino-triazine resins...

  • Bitrez offer a small range of amino resins offered for use in coating systems. All of the amino resins are U/F resins & are used in a range of different purposes.

In addition to the grades that are included, there are several other products offered on a made to order basis. These products are for specialist applications and are not standard grades rotated on a regular basis although we would be pleased to discuss these items and/or any proprietary products that we would be pleased to formulate from other amine species
  • CURACAT catalysts
Bitrez Ltd. offers an extensive range of specialist resin types including catalysts for the formulation of single and multi-component systems...

  • High performance catalysts for the formulation of single and multi-component systems.

We have a large number of catalysts and accelerators for both homo-polymerisation of epoxy resins, acceleration of curing agent grades or a combination of both. Also within this group are catalysts and accelerators for other generic resin types.

Whilst characterisation is difficult it is fair to state that the products within this group will all make a contribution to the curing process. This may be by enabling a reduction in the required process temperature, the time to achieve the desired cured state or in some cases cure is unobtainable without their inclusion.

Applications are as wide and varied as they are utilised in conjunction with so many other polymer types which is not limited to but may include grades from within the following product ranges; curapox / curadride / curamine / curaphen.
  • CONTRACT MANUFACTURING
Bitrez Ltd. offers an extensive range of capabilities including contract manufacturing...

  • Bitrez offers contract manufacture of products on behalf of our customers. Our expertise and integrity means we can provide contract manufacture and specialist toll blending with total confidentiality and compliance with rigorous quality and regulatory standards. We have an extensive history and expertise in contract processing, offering a wide range of resin synthesis and polymer manufacture as well as blending and product modification, all conducted under our ISO standards. Our manufacturing plant comprises of an extreme range of reaction units of varying capacity. We can produce materials from laboratory scale, through pilot plant “scale up” and onto main plant processing varying from 3000 – 16000 litre capacity. We have exceptional cooling facilities to accommodate high reactivity resins and can operate at temperatures up to 300 degC.
  • CURALOK phenol aralkyl resins
Bitrez Ltd. offers an extensive range of specialist resin types including phenol aralkyl resins...

  • The CURALOK series of matrix resins offer a unique combination of physical properties and in particular heat stability and high temperature mechanical strength when formulated into adhesives or applied as coatings. Applications tend to be in areas that utilise the high thermal performance and chemical resistance of formulated parts extending component lifespan under arduous conditions.

    • Cures rapidly at 150ºC - 190ºC
    • Post curing necessary to achieve optimum physical properties
    • Excellent long term thermal stability at 250ºC
    • High mechanical strength at temperatures up to at least 300ºC
    • Self-extinguishing by nature with low smoke formation
    • Good ablative characteristics
    • Satisfies the requirements of Class ‘C’ electrical insulation
    • Outstanding chemical, oil and solvent resistance
  • CURABOX benzoxazine resins
Bitrez Ltd. offers an extensive range of specialist resin types including benzoxazine resins...

  • CURABOX is a family of flame retardant thermoset resins which push the boundaries of Benzoxazine chemistry. With high service temperatures and excellent mechanical and electrical properties, CURABOX performs well over prolonged periods in difficult working environments. Its high-performance characteristics and endurance to mechanical and chemical attack, make it extremely suitable for the manufacture of long service composite components. Applications include primary and secondary structures for aerospace, or frames, body panels and structural reinforcements on trains, buses, trucks and cars. CURABOX polymers can be used as an alternative to our phenolic, epoxy, vinyl ester and other polymer matrix systems.
  • EPILOK epoxy resins

  • CURADRIDE epoxy curing agents
Bitrez Ltd. offers an extensive range of specialist resin types including epoxy curing agents...

  • CURADRIDE epoxy curing agents consist of a variety of speciality and modified anhydrides that have achieved widespread commercial importance due to a combination of their cure characteristics with relatively low viscosity and high loading and long pot-life with low exotherm.

Several of the products offered have been formulated with proprietary modification which may include acceleration although we also offer several un-modified grades that can be used in conjunction with some of our CURACAT cure catalysts and accelerators. Cures are inevitably at elevated temperatures and to optimise properties require long post cure schedules.

Cured components offer good mechanical and excellent electrical insulation properties. These properties are retained even under moderate to high continuous operating temperatures due to the good thermal stability and find extensive use in the heavy electrical industry
