Elcometer

Dry Film Thickness can be measured on either magnetic steel surfaces or non-magnetic metal surfaces such as stainless steel or aluminium using a digital coating thickness gauge. The principle of electromagnetic induction is used for non-magnetic coatings on magnetic substrates such as steel. The eddy current principle is used for non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous metals substrates.

With a thickness measurement capability to ±1% and increased reading resolution, the Elcometer 456 Integral Coating Thickness Gauge produces accurate, temperature stable measurements every time.

Elcometer 480 Single, Dual & Triple Angle Glossmeters
Using state-of-the-art design and manufacturing techniques, the Elcometer 480 Glossmeters quickly and accurately measure and record gloss measurements on a wide range of materials, including paint, plastic, ceramic or metal.

The Elcometer 480 gloss meter rapid LED technology accurately measures up to 3 gloss angles at the same time at a rate of 10 readings per second. Gloss measurements can be instantly transferred from the glossmeter to PC, iPhone, Android™ or other mobile devices via USB or Bluetooth®.

The Elcometer 4340 provides total consistency and reproducibility on various substrates including contrast charts, sheet steel, plastic foils and glass.

Each table is engineered to the highest flatness rating (up to five times flatter than glass) and can be supplied in a number of variations to meet your specific test requirements.

A range of applicator head attachments are available separately, allowing the user to select the most appropriate for their specific use and Standard (if applicable).

The Elcometer 4340 range of motorised Film Applicators comes as one universal base with user selectable head attachments - allowing the flexibility to test using standard film applicators (filmographs), spiral bar coaters or using the combined attachment of both the film applicator and spiral bar attachment.
