    • Ferri-magnetic, e.g. is attracted to a magnet; can be used to make magnetic and shielding plastics.
    • Exhibits a high specific gravity, high heat capacity (ability to store heat), high thermal conductivity (ability to transmit heat) and semi-conducting electrical properties.
    • Is highly absorbing to radio waves (e.g. microwave, radar, EMI shielding) , UV, visible light, IR and ionizing radiation (gamma and X-rays)
    •Especially absorbing in the X and K bands of microwave used for wireless communication and motion detection
    • GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe, under sections 201(s) and 409 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act)), and can be used in food contact applications
