World Surgical Foundation
WSF is a nonprofit organization formed 25 years ago to provide free surgical care to the low income population in third world countries. WSF conducts 2-3 surgical missions a year with a team of 15-40 people consisting of surgeons and surgical residents, anesthesiologists, nurses and lay volunteers. We perform pediatric, plastic, pb-gyn, urology, ENT, other general surgery cases. WSF conducts training workshops with the local surgeons to teach them new techniques and adapt surgical procedures with less equipment and supplies. WSF donates medical equipment such as anesthesia machines, electrocautery machines, ventilators etc and sterile surgical supplies for future use of the hospital.
