The Canadian Association of General Surgeons (CAGS) is the only national organization representing the interests of general surgeons in Canada. CAGS provides a voice for General Surgeons and helps improve patients’ lives through advocacy, education, and research.

CAGS provides a voice for General Surgeons and helps improve patients’ lives through advocacy, education, and research.CAGS is also one of six Canadian surgical societies that hosts the annual Canadian Surgery Forum (CSF). The CSF is an important annual educational and networking event for Canadian Surgeons and is also the largest surgical meeting in Canada. The CSF brings together 950+ delegates from across Canada (as well as the US and overseas) to provide accredited continuing professional development, and the opportunity for dialogue on educational and research issues.
