Ms. Leger’s personal and professional motto “Always strive to leave the world a better place than you found it; regardless of whose world it might be, human or animal” comes to life in prison dog programs.

Owner/founder of a full service canine coaching/pet care organization and advisor to Paws-Effect, a Service Dog Training Service, she is a practicing CHES, member of AABP, APDT, IAABC, Pet Partners/Instructor/Evaluator, C.L.A.S.S. She received the coveted Purina Service Team of the year award, the IAABC Excellence Award Working Animal Division, Rebecca Parks Scholarship Award and the Governors Gold Coin Award for innovative programs.

She is a published author in several educational and entertainment magazines, and her book Hero to the Rescue, The Memoir of an Unlikely Hero, is widely received and loved. She has a second book coming out this Fall. She may be reached on her author’s page www.pawsandclawspublishing.com

Her experience in the area of the human/animal bond spans decades and has touched thousands of lives. Working with the many dogs that walk through the correctional facility doors has enabled many individuals to see the worth and value of a shelter dog of questionable background.
