St. George's University
St. George’s University is a center of international education, drawing students and faculty from over 140 countries to the island of Grenada, West Indies. St. George’s University is affiliated with educational institutions worldwide, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Ireland. The University has contributed over 20,000 graduates in medicine, veterinary medicine, public health and other professions and disciplines have practiced in over 50 countries in the world.
St. George’s University pioneered the concept of international medical education and remains at the forefront of educating students to meet the demands of the modern practice of medicine.
The University’s academic programs have received many approvals and accreditations, including CAAM-HP accreditation for the MD program, AVMA COE accreditation for the DVM program, and CEPH accreditation for its MPH degree.
Founded 20 years ago, St. George’s University launched the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (DPHPM) which has since then produced over 1,100 graduates. The DPHPM remains at the forefront of educating students to meet the demands of the modern practice of public health. All of its freestanding and dual degree program are now offered online and hence accessible to virtually everyone around the global. DPHPM graduates can now be found practicing in over 50 countries around the world.
St. George’s University MPH program is one of only five non-US based MPH programs recognized and accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health. The current tuition cost of an SGU earned MPH degree is now below the average tutition cost for US-based MPH programs. In addition, SGU offers a number of academic and need-based scholarships. A variety of partial and full-tuition scholarships are available based on academic excellence and/or need.
