SLU CPHSJ Professor Named a Rubenstein Fellow at the Brookings Institution (Oct 21, 2021)

Keon L. Gilbert, DrPH, associate professor of behavioral science and health education at Saint Louis University’s College for Public Health and Social Justice and one of the founding co-directors of the Institute for Healing Justice and Equity at SLU, has been appointed to the third class of David M. Rubenstein Fellows at the Brookings Institution.

SLU Researchers Develop App to Track COVID-19 Symptoms (Oct 21, 2021)

As the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the world, researchers pondered the spread of the disease and what the risks of individual and community transmission rates were in various locations.

To address this, SLU researchers Enbal Shacham, Ph.D., a professor of behavioral science and health education and associate director of the SLU Geospatial Institute (GeoSLU); Flavio Esposito, Ph.D., assistant professor of computer science; and Roberto Coral, a research assistant in computer science, developed an app to monitor real-time symptoms and the location of symptomatic individuals.

Terri Rebmann to Receive Distinguished Service Award for Work in Infection Control, Epidemiology (Oct 21, 2021)

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) will honor Saint Louis University’s Terri Rebmann, Ph.D., with the organization’s President’s Distinguished Service Award. The award will be presented June 28 at APIC’s annual conference.
