Welcome to the 2021APHA Annual Meeting. The CHPPD Section influences the design of health systems and policies that are responsive to a changing society by bringing together technical information and the expertise of communities, health professionals, businesses, and government. With the APHA Annual meeting being a hybrid model this year, we continue our commitment to providing you with the best science, evidence, tools, and opportunities to connect with each other. We have lots of activities and sessions going on during this conference both virtually and in person. We hope that you will join us and that you will leave having met new colleagues and gained new knowledge to promote the health and well-being of your hometown.

Mission:

The Community Health Planning & Policy Development Section develops and advocates for health planning, policies and practices to promote health equity, community empowerment and social justice.

Vision:

A dialog and action nexus for community health planning and policy leaders.

Priorities/Objectives:

"Community," "planning" and "policy development" are keywords that draw members to the Section. We understand the importance and power of planning and policy development in inspiring partners to collaborate to work toward eliminating disparities and promoting healthy communities in public and private venues.
