Post-Dobbs State Abortion Restrictions And Protections – This dataset provides a high-level overview of state abortion restrictions and protections enacted following the US Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned nearly 50 years of precedent protecting the right to an abortion prior to viability. It tracks key legal developments from June 1, 2022 through August 31, 2022.
Sentinel Surveillance of Emerging Laws Limiting Public Health Emergency Orders – This longitudinal sentinel surveillance dataset provides an overview of laws that limit the authority of a governor, state health agency, or state health official, regarding public health emergency orders. The dataset covers all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia and includes laws that were enacted since January 1, 2021, and were effective on or before May 20, 2022. Patient Affordability and Debt Collection Policies at 340B Program Hospitals – This research collected Financial Assistance Policies and related debt collection policies from a representative sample of 75 340B hospitals to better understand financial support for pharmaceuticals for low-income populations.
State Laws Regulating Unpaid School Meal Debt – This dataset on LawAtlas.org explores statutes and regulations addressing school lunch policies in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. This dataset is valid through April 1, 2021.

Monthly Methods Webinar Series – Throughout 2023 our team of expert researchers and special guests will provide training on scientific legal mapping methods, including policy surveillance, and applications of the process in research and practice. The Law and Evidence on Self-Managed Abortion Virtual Panel Series – This panel series explores the interplay between empirical evidence on the safety and efficacy of self-managed abortion and laws, policies, and their application. Together with the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University Law Center, Ibis Reproductive Health, and If/When/How Lawyering for Reproductive Justice, we will bring together empirical researchers and legal experts to explore the state of the evidence, the state of the law, and relationships between the two in the context of self-managed medication abortion in the United States and around the world.
