The Health Emerging and Advanced Technologies Division’s (HEATD) overarching goal is to improve patient and population health through advancements in health data analytics, interoperability, and applications. Specific activities include:

  1. Advancing foundational technologies in health data analytics
  2. Supporting partners in maximizing the value of their health data resources  
  3. Facilitating delivery of information to patients, providers, lawmakers, and regulators
  4. Fostering scalable and secure use of real-world data locally, nationally and globally
