Master Of Public Health
The MPH program at Rollins College is designed to prepare health professionals to effectively develop, implement, and evaluate programs that have an impact on the health of the public. Students who successfully matriculate come from a wide range of professions and academic disciplines including:

Individuals from any background planning to pursue a career in public health
Recent college graduates interested in a career in public health or preventive medicine
Physicians, nurses, dentists, veterinarians, or other clinicians pursing managerial and administrative roles and responsibilities in public health or the health sector
Healthcare professionals, managers, or administrators seeking formal training and education in preparation for advanced careers in public health

We recognize that full-time professionals have strict demands on their time. This is a rigorous program that meets in the evening, allowing students to find balance while continuing to be competitive in the rapidly changing public health environment. Some courses are offered in a blended format with reduced seat time. At graduation, graduates of the MPH program will be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in public health
  • Work with community groups to assess the health status of populations, identify problems, and plan potential solutions
  • Be able to secure resources that support public health efforts
  • Analyze and apply research findings to public health problems
  • Integrate population and community-based medicine in clinical practice
  • Serve as community leaders in devising solutions to public health problems
  • Engage in formulating policy to improve public health
