Welcome to Liberty University's Public and Community Health.

The department includes undergraduate and graduate programs. Students completing the program and meeting the prerequisites are eligible for certification through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (CHES) and Certified in Public Health (CPH).

Liberty’s Bachelor of Science in Public Health degree program will prepare you for a career in health-related professions, wellness, injury prevention, and disease prevention through either the Health Promotion concentration, Pre-Clinical concentration, or Nutrition Concentration.

In our 4+1 accelerated program, you’ll receive a B.S. in Public Health: Health Promotion and a Master of Public Health: Community Health Promotion in just five years.

Liberty University’s Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) is offered across 5 concentrations, in both residential and online formats. 

  • Epidemiology is the study of epidemics and epidemic diseases, a great fit for any who desire a healthcare delivery/public health government role. (Residential)
  • Community Health Promotion advances healthy lifestyles through policies, advocacy, and practice at the community level. The practitioner will design, implement, and evaluate interventions to ensure best practices. (Residential/Online)
  • Global Health seeks to eliminate health disparities and establish health equity among at-risk populations through a systematic approach. (Residential/Online)
  • Nutrition is directed to the community level to prevent diseases related to nutritional deficiencies or excesses, to include food availability, security of the food source, and overall health of a community. (Residential/Online)
  • Environmental: specialization leans towards evaluating environmental effects on a community’s health and applies best practices to improve health (Online).
