rePROs Fight Back is a weekly independent podcast where Jennie Wetter, a sexual and reproductive health and rights maven, interviews an expert in sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice (SRHRJ) about a particular SRHRJ topic for each episode.
Each episode we dig deep into an SRHRJ issue and we talk about what it is, what’s happening around it right now, what needs to happen to make it better, and what actions our audience can take to fight back.
The podcast covers a wide range of SRHRJ topics such as: abortion, sex education, birth control, gender based violence, trans rights, global SRHR issues, and much much more.
At this moment where abortion rights are under an unprecedented assault, Black women are 3x more likely to die from childbirth and pregnancy related causes than white women, and trans rights are being attacked on all fronts there are so many issues to keep track of. rePROs Fight Back is a podcast to keep you informed on these critical fights and give you the tools you need to take action and fight back.
Last year in the face of extreme attacks on SRHRJ, simply producing a podcast is not enough. The fight to guarantee our bodily autonomy, ensure our human rights, and decide our futures requires a doubling down on our commitment to SRHRJ for everyone– no matter who they are or where they live.
We announced that the rePROs Fight Back podcast was growing. In addition to the podcast, rePROs expanded to include education and advocacy efforts on global and domestic SRHRJ issues through resources and additional ways to take action.
This year we released a 50 State Report Card on Reproductive Health and Rights looking at the many ways your ability to exercise your repodcutive health and rights depend on where you live. The report card showed there is a tale of two Americas: one in which people can exercise their reproductive rights, and another in which they cannot.
