Goddard Riverside Options Institute
Options Institute is New York City’s leading provider of professional development for practitioners working with students on their postsecondary pathways. Our hallmark program is the Foundation Course for College Access Counseling, which has been offered since 2005. Our new online course, College Access Training, provides the same knowledge counselors need to help young people through the college process as our in-person workshops. Along with our public offerings the Options Institute also contracts with organizations to deliver customized training. We have worked with the NYC Department of Education, New York Cares, CUNY’s College Advising Corps, and Harlem Children’s Zone among others. Additionally, the Options Institute has trained for Chicago Public Schools and Portland Public Schools, Oregon.
