MassTech is the only license holder and US producer of AP MALDI and subAP MALDI ion source technology, and is the recognized leader in AP MALDI development and manufacturing areas. We are currently in our 3rd generation of AP MALDI technology for MS tissue imaging and general MALDI sample analysis – incorporating many of our own innovations. Our sub-atmospheric (sub) AP MALDI ion sources have sensitivity as good as that of vacuum MALDI ones. The subAP MALDI source can be rapidly changed to the ESI source without breaking vacuum.
The MT Explorer 50 is a compact mass spectrometer designed and built by MassTech Inc. It is capable of desktop laboratory performance in a small, field transportable package. It has an atmospheric pressure interface, allowing for a use of ESI/DART/APCI/MALDI ion sources. Combined with our own ESI/APCI ion source, customers can purchase a complete integrated unit capable of rapid, on-site biological or chemical identification.
