Do you have many unidentified compounds in your mass spectral data? Visit our booth to learn about our new libraries for 2023! The NIST Mass Spectrometry Data Center (MSDC) is responsible for the development of evaluated standard reference mass spectral libraries and related software for the identification of chemical compounds and the analysis of complex mixtures. Libraries include the NIST/EPA/NIH Mass Spectral Library (an electron-ionization library with over 345,000 compounds suitable for GC-MS), the NIST Tandem Mass Spectral Library (an electrospray ionization library with more than 2,350,000 spectra of more than 51,000 compounds suitable for LC-MS), the NIST Peptide Mass Spectral Libraries (with human libraries being the most prevalent), the NIST Human Metabolite Libraries (blood, urine, milk), and the NIST GC Retention Index library. The NIST MSDC is a part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) which is a bureau of the US Department of Commerce.
