SUPER SESI is FIT's core technology. It is an ionization source specifically optimized for the analysis of low volatility species in the gas phase. Coupled to High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry, it enables scientists to analyze in real-time metabolites molecules from different sources (breath, mice, cell culture, biological fluids, plants, food, etc.).
SUPER SESI is being mainly used by clinical scientists to monitor drug metabolism and toxicity, and to identify respiratory disease biomarkers in breath. It is non-invasive, and it detects up to 2200 different metabolites instantly in each single exhalation.
