IVUmed, or International Volunteers in Urology, is committed to making quality urological care available worldwide. In fulfilling this mission, IVUmed provides medical and surgical education to physicians and nurses and treatment to thousands of children and adults. IVUmed volunteers travel in teams to work in partner teaching hospitals in Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. Our volunteers train their host colleagues in general, reconstructive, female, oncologic, pediatric urology, and more.
