    Postdoctoral Scholarships

    Awards to new or recent doctoral degree recipients in science and engineering, designed to further the education and training of the applicant with primary emphasis placed on the individual’s research promise.

    MIT-WHOI Program (Graduate Degree)

    Doctoral students have the resources of two world-class institutions—Massachusetts Institute of Technology and WHOI—at their fingertips and unmatched access to instruments, ships, technology, and scientific guidance. The degree is jointly issued from both institutions.

    Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Program (Graduate Summer Fellowships)

    GFD fellows and staff from many universities and institutions exchange ideas through lectures and seminars over this 10-week program.  Fellows pursue a research project and write up and present their results.

    Summer Student Program (Undergraduate Summer Fellowships)

    Undergrad students who have completed their junior year pursue 10-12 week research projects under the guidance of scientific staff. Fellows attend lectures and professional development and present their results.
