Best Friends Animal Society
Around 400,000 homeless dogs and cats are killed annually in America’s shelters. That means about 1,100 animals are killed every day. Best Friends is leading the movement by running lifesaving community programs for dogs and cats, providing support, training and formal education for animal shelters and rescue groups, and mobilizing community members on behalf of pets in need across the country.
