Liquid Helium TEM

At condenZero, we understand the critical challenges faced by researchers in the field of cryogenic transmission electron microscopy (cryo-TEM). Our sample holders are designed to run on liquid helium as cryogen, allowing for ultra-low temperatures with great thermal stability and rapid temperature cycling capability. As a result, our patented cryogenic design allows for the rapid attainment of a base temperature of 5 Kelvin in less than 1 minute. This makes it possible to conduct experiments much more efficiently, while maintaining cryogenic conditions for over 24 hours.

Moreover, our sample holders offer integration of in-situ electrical capabilities, which allow researchers to perform real-time electrical measurements while samples remain at ultra-low temperatures. With these features, researchers have the opportunity to study the electronic properties, phase transitions, and dynamic behaviour of materials.

The full condenZero system comprises the sample holder, damping stage CORVUS, helium transferline TUBUS and peripheral equipment for temperature measurement and operation. Listed below are first light results and the most recently achieved specifications. We continually improve technical performance indicators and we will publish new results on the website as soon as they are available. Please reach out and connect with us.
