Infinix™ Antimicrobial Restorative Products are the first FDA-cleared non-releasing antimicrobial composite/ restorative materials. These materials contain Quaternary Ammonium particles that have been covalently bound into silica fillers (QASi) and then incorporated into the materials. These particles electrostatically attract and kill bacteria on contact. Similar to how a “bug zapper” works.
Infinix™ antimicrobial materials have been scientifically proven to kill bacteria and reduce demineralization & secondary caries by up to 68%; while providing solid, long-lasting restorations. Great to use on all patients, including “high-risk” caries patients (poor home care, dry mouth/ xerostomia, etc.).
