The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research is a nonprofit consortium of 122 North American universities. UCAR manages NCAR on behalf of NSF. UCAR’s community programs include COSMIC, Unidata, JCSDA, GLOBE, UCAR SciEd, COMET, CPAESS, and the Center for Ocean Leadership.
UCAR also provides a voice for the community, conveying the value of Earth system research to decision-makers.
