Funded by the National Science Foundation, the Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure, NHERI, is a nationally distributed, shared-use network of experimental laboratories and resources for the natural hazards community. NHERI facilities enable researchers to explore and test concepts to protect homes, businesses, lifelines and communities from the impacts of wind storms, earthquakes, tsunamis, and associated coastal hazards. Our facilities include wave tanks, wind tunnels, large centrifuges, field reconnaissance equipment, shake tables and mobile shaking vehicles, cyberphysical testing, and computer simulation and modeling. NHERI also provides high-performance computing, user training, and data customized data curation.
