GSA Mineralogy, Geochemistry, Petrology, and Volcanology (MGPV) Division
The MGPV Division promotes awareness, teaching, and research in its subject fields, and stimulates discussion about the knowledge, ideas, research results, and problems regarding these fundamental areas of the earth sciences. MGPV organizes and sponsors sessions at national and sectional meetings, sponsors both Distinguished Geological Career and Early Geological Career Awards, and student research and travel grants.
