 Press Releases

  • Better railways build stronger economies - and AirView, a Czech drone reality capture firm, is proving it with Mosaic. For a major reconstruction project by Správa železnic, the Czech national railway authority, AirView mounted the high-resolution Mosaic X panoramic camera on a locomotive, capturing 91.2MP images every 5 meters. The goal: create a precise, track-level photographic record to support compliance, documentation, and long-term maintenance.

After comparing options, AirView selected the Mosaic X over the Ladybug6 for its simplified setup and sharper results. The AVAG cloud platform, developed by AirView, now fully supports Mosaic imagery, allowing clients to interact with ultra-high-res visuals, point clouds, and digital terrain models remotely.

The project exceeded expectations and set the stage for continued collaboration, including the Czech Republic’s largest highway project.

  • Combining high-resolution street-level imagery with aerial data can be time-consuming, complex, and costly, especially when trying to align datasets from different systems. That’s where Mosaic comes in.

With plug-and-play 360° cameras and open, flexible workflows, Mosaic helps teams like Fly North capture complete ground-level context to complement their drone surveys - all without the headache of switching between disconnected tools.

In their latest project in Colombia, Fly North integrated Mosaic with their drone surveying operations to create a streamlined, hybrid workflow that enhances both efficiency and accuracy. The combination enabled faster decision-making and better insights for infrastructure and land planning in remote areas.

In just two days, the team covered over 30 km of terrain and delivered fully aligned aerial and ground-level data — without relying on costly or time-consuming mobile mapping setups.

  • From AI-powered feature extraction to right-sized LiDAR workflows, the geospatial industry is evolving fast. Based on our conversations with industry experts at Intergeo 2025, here are 6 trends we see shaping 2026:

    • Gaussian splatting is moving from academic research into production environments.
    • Miniaturized LiDAR sensors are lowering costs and making mobile mapping more flexible.
    • Cloud-native tools like Ranger are replacing traditional software stacks.
    • AI and machine learning are accelerating classification, auditing, and change detection.
    • Open ecosystems are enabling better collaboration between tools and providers.
    • Smarter data capture and streamlined pipelines are improving speed, storage, and ROI.

Whether you’re mapping cities, managing infrastructure, or building 3D models, these shifts are already changing how work gets done - and who’s doing it.

  • 📍 Meridian data now compatible with New Compass RANGER & PATHFINDER

A new integration brings even more flexibility to Mosaic’s mobile mapping workflows.
Now you can use Meridian and Meridian Lite outputs directly with New Compass tools - RANGER and PATHFINDER - for streamlined data extraction and delivery.

    This means:

🔹 Faster processing of LiDAR and imagery
    🔹 Scalable feature extraction
🔹 Easier integration into existing utility and infrastructure mapping workflows

The compatibility enables teams to move from mobile capture to actionable data faster, while maintaining the high-resolution standards Meridian systems are known for.

Whether you're mapping for telecommunications, asset management, or corridor surveys, this gives you more control, fewer bottlenecks, and smoother delivery to clients and stakeholders.

  • The Mosaic Processor (MoPro) is a flexible, GPU‑accelerated software suite designed to generate georeferenced 360° panoramic imagery, including trajectory parsing, point cloud and LiDAR integration, synchronized image stitching, and metadata embedding. It supports both Mosaic system workflows and broader 3D data processing needs.

The Mosaic Anonymizer applies AI-driven blurring to faces and license plates using models trained on native 12K+ imagery, helping users meet global privacy regulations like GDPR and PIPA.

Both tools are available via annual or perpetual licenses, designed to streamline 360° data workflows from processing to compliance.
