Merrick & Company is an employee owned engineering, architecture, surveying, and geospatial firm headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Our story began in 1955 when Sears Merrick—a former engineering professor at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point—founded the company in Denver. What started with a focus on structural engineering expanded to serving clients worldwide across key markets including manufacturing, aerospace, national security, nuclear, energy and chemicals, life sciences, and infrastructure. Our founder championed the value of employee ownership, noting, “If a person works for themself, they are much more committed.” Over the years, that mindset has guided our growth to over 1000 employee owners as well as our culture of dedication, pride, and partnership.
