“LRTK” is a Japanese positioning device that mounts on a smartphone or tablet and delivers centimeter-level accuracy, transforming field surveying. Its compact body includes a battery and high-performance antenna, so one smartphone can perform single-point and continuous measurements, 3D point cloud scanning, volume calculations, and coordinate guidance. LRTK records position and direction with each photo for real-time sharing and centralized cloud management. Support for the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System “Michibiki” (CLAS) maintains accuracy even where GPS is blocked, such as in mountains or dense cities. With augmented reality (AR), it overlays design blueprints and planned structures on-site, cutting alignment work and construction time and improving productivity in civil engineering, construction, surveying, infrastructure maintenance, and disaster response.
